MS Data File Trimmer

MSDataFileTrimmer can be used to read an mzXML or mzData file, along with a text file containing scan numbers, and create a new mzXML or mzData file containing only the spectra for the specified scan numbers. This is useful for distributing mzXML/mzData files that only contain the data of interest, for example, along with a synopsis file that only contains the data of interest.

Alternatively, the program can read a MasterDataRow text file that defines dataset names and additional information for processing a series of mzXML/mzData files and related Synopsis/First Hits files. For more information on Synopsis and First Hits files, please see the Peptide File Extractor software page and the Synopsis and First Hits Files page.

Please see the Command Line Application Help page for additional information on running this program at the Windows command prompt.
